Job Summary
We are seeking to recruit two additional, motivated and dedicated HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team on a part-time basis, working from 5pm to 9pm, Monday to Friday. This permanent role involves trunking to and from the Pallet Track Hub in Wolverhampton.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 1 Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) with a focus on curtain sided transportation.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures during driving and delivery operations.
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, reporting any maintenance needs immediately.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving license with a clean driving record (no more than 6 points).
- Proven experience as a commercial driver.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving.
- Delivery driver experience with an emphasis on safe handling of cargo and customer service.
- Ability to operate curtain sided trucks.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Flexibility to work during evening hours from 5pm to 9pm on a part-time schedule.
