Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our team in a bustling two AA restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in food preparation, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring high-quality culinary experiences for our guests.
Every Sunday and Monday off- we are closed- potential to progress to a 4 day week on, 3 days off schedule.
Every Christmas off- we close on Christmas Eve and re-open around the 7th Jan. A real bonus in hospitality!
Small kitchen team alongside our hard-working Kitchen porters.
Split shifts over 5 days.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in food production and preparation
- Help in supervising kitchen staff and ensuring smooth kitchen operations
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen
- Contribute to menu planning and development
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Support team management and training activities
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on food quality and presentation
- Leadership abilities to effectively supervise kitchen staff
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with team members and management
- A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
