Part-Time Chef – Up to 25 Hours Per Week

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Part-Time Chef to prepare fresh, high-quality meals for a local business family.
This position could be ideal for either:
* A recently qualified or graduate chef looking to gain experience and build their career
* An experienced chef looking for flexible part-time hours
* A semi-retired or retired chef who still enjoys cooking but no longer wants the demands of a full-time commercial kitchen
The Role
You will be responsible for preparing a variety of fresh meals using quality ingredients, with an emphasis on healthy, nutritious and well-presented food.
Duties will include:
* Preparing fresh lunches and evening meals
* Creating varied weekly menus
* Cooking healthy, nutritious dishes
* Catering for different tastes and dietary requirements
* Preparing meals in advance where appropriate
* Ordering or assisting with sourcing ingredients
* Maintaining excellent kitchen hygiene and cleanliness
* Occasionally preparing food for family guests or small gatherings
A fully equipped kitchen is supplied, so there is no requirement to work from your own premises.
The Ideal Person
We are more interested in finding the right person with a genuine passion for cooking than someone with a particular career background.
You should be:
* A confident and capable cook
* Passionate about fresh, quality food
* Able to cook a good variety of dishes
* Knowledgeable about healthy eating
* Reliable and trustworthy
* Organised and clean in the kitchen
* Comfortable working independently
* Flexible regarding hours when required
Formal chef qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential where suitable experience and ability can be demonstrated.
This could particularly suit a retired or semi-retired professional chef who would like enjoyable, flexible work without the pressure of restaurant service.
Equally, we would welcome applications from an ambitious newly qualified chef who wants an opportunity to develop their skills.
Hours
Up to 25 hours per week, with flexibility available around how the hours are structured.
We are happy to discuss a working pattern that suits both parties.
