Role Overview
The Facilities Supervisor supports the Facilities Manager in the day-to-day delivery of Facilities services across designated London sites. The role focuses on supervising engineers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance, and maintaining high standards of service delivery.
What you'll do
The following reflect the main tasks associated with the position and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive:
- Supervision of Works: Oversee day-to-day maintenance activities and ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to required standards.
- Planned & Reactive Maintenance: Coordinate and monitor PPM and reactive tasks through CAFM systems.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all works meet contractual requirements and quality standards.
- Supply Chain Management: Supervise subcontractors and ensure compliance with H&J Martin standards.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure safe systems of work are followed, including RAMS, toolbox talks, and site inspections.
- Client Liaison: Act as a point of contact for clients on site, managing queries and providing updates.
- Performance Monitoring: Support KPI tracking and reporting activities.
- Quotations & Remedials: Assist in assessing quotations and tracking remedial works.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of works, compliance documentation, and reports.
What you’ll bring
As Facilities Supervisor, your main skills and experience will include:
Essential Criteria
- Experience in a supervisory role within Facilities Management or building services
- Strong understanding of hard FM services (mechanical/electrical)
- Experience supervising engineers and subcontractors
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations and safe working practices
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Experience using CAFM systems and Microsoft Office
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Criteria
- Relevant technical qualification (e.g., mechanical, electrical, FM)
- Experience working within London contracts
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Strong attention to detail
