This role is designed for a leader who balances a passion for high-quality gastronomy with the ability to achieve financial targets and building a stable motivated team.
We offer a 5 course tasting menu at every service supplemented by a small a la carte menu for lunch and pre theatre and a 7 course tasting menu after 6.30pm.

Key Responsibilities
- Menu Creation: Design and implement seasonal menus that reflect our brand identity while strictly adhering to theoretical and actual food cost targets.
- Day to day: Ensuring MEP is completed to the required standard and implementing service.
- Scheduling: Rota to be released on a Monday weekly basis a fortnight in advance with the following week being pencilled in to foresee any issues.Rotas run from Monday to Sunday, the rota for Monday the 15th should be released on the 1st.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing kitchen team. You are responsible for creating a culture of professional growth and mutual respect to minimize turnover.
- Quality Control: Maintain rigorous standards for food preparation and presentation, ensuring every dish meets our 4.5+ star rating expectation.
- Operational Compliance: Ensure total adherence to health, safety, and food hygiene regulations (HACCP).
Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food production.
- Plan, develop, and execute innovative menus that meet customer expectations and reflect current culinary trends.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen activities.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs to optimise operational efficiency.
- Train, mentor, and motivate staff to foster a positive working environment centred on teamwork and professional development.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor quality control throughout the food preparation process to ensure consistency and excellence in every dish served.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation at all times within the kitchen environment.

Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Extensive background in food production, culinary arts, and kitchen management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
- Demonstrable experience in food preparation, cooking, and menu development.
