Job Summary
NIPA Steakhouse is seeking an experienced Steak Chef (Grill Chef) to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing and cooking high-quality steaks and grilled dishes, ensuring exceptional standards of food presentation and flavour. Duties
- Prepare and cook steaks and grilled dishes to meet specified recipes and presentation standards
- Oversee the entire meal preparation process, ensuring timely service during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station in accordance with food safety regulations
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure perfect results every time
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Ensure all food served meets quality standards and presentation expectations
- Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols within the kitchen environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Grill Chef or Steak Chef within a reputable restaurant or steakhouse
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation
- Demonstrable experience in kitchen operations, including food safety practices
- Excellent understanding of culinary principles related to steak and grilled dishes
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced restaurant setting with high standards of service
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Serving experience is advantageous but not essential; a passion for delivering excellent customer service is vital
