Little Woodlands Children’s Day Nursery is a brand new, thoughtfully designed early years setting opening in Castle Donington this September and we are looking for passionate, nurturing and inspiring Room Leaders to join our growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead your own room within a nursery that has been carefully created with children, staff wellbeing and exceptional practice at its heart. We are looking for someone who genuinely loves early years, thrives within a team and wants to help shape a beautiful environment where children feel safe, inspired and truly cared for.
As a Room Leader, you will play a huge role in creating the culture within your room; building strong relationships with children and families, leading your team with positivity and ensuring outstanding care and education every single day.
At Little Woodlands, every detail has been thoughtfully considered — from calming acoustics and specialist SEN spaces, to in-room facilities designed to make daily practice easier and more enjoyable for staff.
What the role will involve:
- Leading the day-to-day running of your nursery room
- Creating a warm, nurturing and engaging environment for children
- Leading by example with outstanding early years practice
- Supporting, mentoring and motivating your room team
- Planning exciting learning opportunities tailored to children’s interests and development
- Building strong relationships with children, families and professionals
- Monitoring children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS
- Ensuring safeguarding and welfare requirements are consistently met
- Supporting transitions and creating positive experiences for families
- Helping to maintain beautiful, inviting learning environments
- Working collaboratively with the wider nursery team to help shape the culture and vision of Little Woodlands
What we’re looking for:
- A passionate, caring and approachable leader
- Previous leadership experience within a nursery room essential
- Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years essential
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements
- Someone organised, proactive and calm under pressure
- A positive role model who enjoys supporting others to grow
- Someone creative, enthusiastic and genuinely passionate about early years
- A team player who wants to grow with us long-term and be part of our journey
