Cover Supervisor

About the Role
Excell Supply is recruiting enthusiastic and dependable Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Denbigh and the surrounding areas. As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain focused, engaged, and on task with the work provided.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, teaching assistants, youth workers, sports coaches, and anyone with experience working with young people who is looking to gain valuable experience within education.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Deliver pre-set lesson plans and learning activities.
- Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
- Manage student behaviour in accordance with school policies.
- Support students in completing assigned work.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on student participation and behaviour.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Confidence working with secondary-aged students.
- A professional, flexible, and positive attitude.
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
