Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Front of House team member to work with us at Aldwick Estate as a Team Leader. The successful candidate will:
- be highly professional with a great work ethic, be able to work within a team and on own initiative, quickly and efficiently, solve problems and have a can do attitude.
- ideally have previous experience of leading a team, with the confidence to deal with food and drink queries and the desire to learn more about our food and the wines produced at Aldwick Estate.
- support the Catering Manager with overseeing staff on shift, ensuring existing staff are adhering to EPIC standards and training, plus guiding new members of staff.
- present as a confident, knowledgeable host during all aspects of the wedding / event, checking in on guests at the tables, identifying and rectifying potential issues before the guest is affected, and paying particular attention to the promotion and service of Aldwick Estate wines.
- manage food service from the kitchen, giving clear instruction to both the Chef team and staff team, working with the Chef team to ensure excellent presentation and quality of food as it leaves the kitchen, confidently dealing with any issues as they arise.
- be able to work independently as needed, taking responsibility for the set up and service of evening food, including clearing down the station and closing down the kitchen.
- work as one of the team to achieve an end goal, taking on any task needed to ensure an excellent, thorough and efficient service for both the wedding guests and Aldwick Estate management.
- have a polite and friendly manner and be courteous with good communication skills.
- be honest and reliable.
We cater for nearly 500 events per year so you will be part of a dynamic and exciting team.
