We are seeking a reliable and organised Stores & Parts Coordinator to join our busy engineering workshop.
This is a varied and hands-on role that is central to the smooth operation of our business. You will be responsible for managing stock levels, goods inwards, dispatching customer orders, and ensuring our workshop technicians have the parts and materials they need to complete jobs efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving, unloading and checking deliveries.
- Booking goods into stock and storing items correctly.
- Monitoring stock levels and reordering parts and consumables as required.
- Liaising with suppliers regarding orders and deliveries.
- Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders via courier services.
- Supplying parts, tools and consumables to workshop personnel.
- Maintaining accurate stock records.
- Producing monthly stock reports and stock level summaries.
- Ensuring stores areas remain clean, organised and safe.
- Assisting with stock takes and inventory control.
- Supporting general workshop operations when required.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Fork Lift Truck (FLT) experience.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Good handwriting and record-keeping skills.
- Experience working within an engineering, manufacturing, agricultural, hydraulic, vehicle workshop or similar environment.
- Good knowledge of engineering parts, tools, fasteners and consumables.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise workload.
- Strong attention to detail.
Desirable Skills
- Current FLT licence.
- Experience with stock control systems.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, commercial vehicle or agricultural engineering components.
- Experience arranging courier collections and dispatches.
- Basic comuter skills.
