Overview
East & Gray Ltd is a long-established plumbing, heating and bathroom installation company, serving customers in Harpenden and surrounding areas since 1953.
We are looking for an experienced Plumber / Bathroom Installer to join our team. The role involves a varied mixture of general domestic plumbing, repairs, fault finding and complete bathroom installations.
Typical Duties
- General domestic plumbing repairs and maintenance
- Diagnosing and repairing leaks, plumbing faults and water-related issues
- Repairing and replacing taps, toilets, showers, valves and other plumbing components
- Installing and altering hot, cold and waste pipework
- Installing sanitaryware including toilets, basins, baths and showers
- Installing and replacing radiators and heated towel rails
- First and second-fix plumbing for bathroom refurbishments
- Installing shower trays, enclosures, concealed shower valves and bathroom furniture
- Carrying out complete bathroom installations and associated plumbing alterations
- Working alongside other trades on bathroom refurbishment projects
- Testing completed work and ensuring installations are left clean, tidy and fully operational
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate should:
- Have good experience in domestic plumbing
- Be confident working independently and diagnosing faults
- Have experience carrying out bathroom installations
- Be competent with copper and plastic pipework
- Have good knowledge of UK domestic plumbing systems
- Produce neat, high-quality work
- Be reliable, organised and punctual
- Have good communication and customer service skills
- Be respectful when working in customers' homes
- Hold a full UK driving licence
Relevant NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent plumbing qualifications would be preferred.

Pay: £34,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
