Overview
We are seeking an experienced Engineer - Electrical Bias to join our team.
This is on a shift basis
Key Accountabilities:
- The ability to analyse and fault-find electrical /mechanical systems to effectively and efficiently identify problems and implement solutions.
- Carry out machine improvements that will reduce downtime, increase efficiency, and reduce waste/cost.
- Carry out PPMs and repairs methodically and efficiently to the highest engineering and food safety standards.
- Accurately log all downtime and repair information on CMMS.
- Be able to demonstrate high attention to detail with good analytical and reporting skills.
- Ensure information is passed sufficiently between shifts, keeping the engineering and production colleagues informed regarding the progress of repairs.
Ideally, the successful candidate would possess the following attributes: -
- Time-served Engineer, with proven experience - Electrical biasis
- Educated to HNC level (or equivalent)
- Experience within food manufacturing, or similar within FMCG
- Be able to work under own initiative and with a range of colleagues
- Participate in Continuous Improvements activities, knowledge of 5S or lean principles is advantageous
- Effective communication skills
- Demonstrate a flexible approach to problem-solving and be adaptable to changing work situations.
- Experience in SCADA and automated control systems desirable.
- IPAF and forklift training are desirable.
