We are looking for an experienced Strategic Procurement Manager who can take ownership of sourcing strategy supplier negotiations category planning and procurement performance across a varied portfolio of goods and services.
You will work closely with operations finance projects commercial teams and external suppliers to improve value strengthen supply continuity and ensure purchasing decisions support wider business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement sourcing strategies that improve value supply resilience service quality and commercial outcomes.
Supplier Management: Build strong relationships with key suppliers and monitor performance against agreed cost quality delivery and service expectations.
Commercial Negotiation: Lead negotiations on pricing contract terms service levels and supplier commitments to secure commercially appropriate agreements.
Category Management: Review spend categories identify sourcing opportunities and develop category plans aligned with business priorities.
Contract Management: Support the development renewal and performance monitoring of supplier agreements and ensure key obligations are understood and maintained.
Cost Optimisation: Analyse purchasing activity supplier costs and market information to identify sustainable savings and value improvement opportunities.
Risk Management: Identify supply chain and supplier risks and develop practical mitigation plans to protect continuity and operational performance.
Stakeholder Management: Work with internal teams to understand requirements challenge specifications where appropriate and ensure procurement priorities remain aligned with business needs.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in strategic procurement sourcing category management supplier management or a closely related commercial environment.
Procurement Knowledge: Strong understanding of strategic sourcing supplier evaluation contract management category planning and procurement lifecycle activities.
Commercial Awareness: Comfortable assessing total cost value supplier capability risk and contractual considerations when making sourcing decisions.
Negotiation Skills: Confident leading supplier negotiations and achieving strong commercial outcomes while maintaining constructive long term relationships.
Analytical Skills: Able to interpret spend data supplier performance information and market trends to support procurement decisions.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Organisation: Able to manage multiple sourcing projects supplier relationships contracts and procurement priorities at the same time.
Tools: Experience with procurement ERP sourcing reporting or contract management systems is preferred.
Mindset: You are commercially focused analytical and proactive. You take ownership of procurement challenges make evidence based decisions and continually look for ways to improve value strengthen supplier performance and reduce business risk.
Pay: £4,300.00-£5,200.00 per month
