Position Summary
We are seeking a caring, reliable, and experienced Weekend Nanny to provide attentive childcare for our two young sons, aged 2 years and 4 months. The ideal candidate will be nurturing, patient, safety-conscious, and comfortable managing the needs of both an active toddler and an infant. This role is focused on supporting the children's daily routines, development, and well-being during weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and age-appropriate care for both children.
- Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of the children at all times.
- Supervise and engage the toddler in stimulating and educational activities, including reading, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and developmental games.
- Care for the infant by following feeding, diapering, sleeping, and soothing routines.
- Maintain consistent nap and bedtime routines as directed by parents.
- Monitor developmental milestones and communicate any concerns or observations to parents.
Daily Care
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks for the toddler.
- Prepare bottles and assist with infant feeding as needed.
- Change diapers and assist with toilet training when appropriate.
- Dress children and assist with personal hygiene routines.
- Accompany children on walks, playground visits, or other approved outings.
Household Duties Related to the Children
- Keep children's play areas, bedrooms, and belongings tidy and organized.
- Wash and sterilize bottles, feeding equipment, and children's dishes.
- Manage children's laundry as needed.
- Restock diapers, wipes, and other childcare supplies and notify parents when items are running low.
Communication
- Provide regular updates to parents regarding meals, naps, activities, and overall well-being.
- Follow parental guidance regarding routines, discipline, and childcare preferences.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience caring for infants and toddlers.
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities.
- Infant and child CPR/First Aid certification (preferred or required).
- Excellent references from previous childcare positions.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
