The Role
We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 drivers on behalf of a well-established, BRC-accredited food wholesaler with a large, modern distribution centre in the West Midlands. Our client operates their own fleet of temperature-controlled vehicles, delivering a wide range of chilled and ambient food products to trade customers across the UK.
This is a multi-drop driving role, with a strong focus on safe, efficient, and professional service. All vehicles are well-maintained, and routes are carefully planned to support timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive a HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicle on national routes.
- Complete multi-drop deliveries of chilled and ambient food products.
- Ensure all products are handled correctly, maintaining temperature control where required.
- Perform daily vehicle checks and complete all relevant paperwork.
- Comply fully with tachograph, WTD, and all health & safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service at each delivery point.
What We’re Looking For
- Valid HGV Class 2 (C) licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- Clean or minimal points on your licence.
- Proven experience in multi-drop deliveries – experience with chilled / temperature-controlled goods is a plus but not essential.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and customer-focused.
- Good timekeeping and communication skills.
