Resident DJ
Job Summary
We are looking for a confident, charismatic and professional Resident DJ to join our team. More than just playing music, our DJs are responsible for controlling the energy of the venue, keeping the entertainment running smoothly, and creating an exciting atmosphere for our guests.
As the voice of the club, you will confidently introduce entertainers to the stage, make regular promotional announcements, engage with guests over the microphone, and ensure the music perfectly complements every part of the evening. You’ll work closely with management and entertainers to maintain a seamless stage rotation while keeping playlists fresh, current and suited to the atmosphere of the venue.

Responsibilities
- Operate the club’s music system, delivering a professional soundtrack that matches the energy of the venue throughout the night.
- Confidently announce entertainers to the stage and manage all stage rotations efficiently.
- Make engaging microphone announcements to promote VIP experiences, drinks promotions, upcoming events and other club offerings.
- Create and maintain current playlists, ensuring music remains fresh, relevant and appropriate for the audience.
- Read the room and adjust music and announcements to maximise guest engagement and atmosphere.
- Work closely with entertainers and management to ensure smooth transitions throughout the evening.
- Operate DJ equipment, audio systems and microphones, resolving minor technical issues where required.
- Maintain a professional and engaging presence while representing the club at all times.
- Support special events, themed nights and promotional campaigns through music selection and live announcements.
- Ensure all announcements are delivered clearly, professionally and in line with company standards.
- Comply with all venue policies, licensing requirements and operational procedures.
Experience & Requirements
- Previous experience as a nightclub or gentlemen’s club DJ is essential.
- You must provide your own laptop capable of running professional DJ software and storing your music library.
- Experience using professional DJ software and equipment.
- Confident and articulate speaking voice with excellent microphone and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of crowd management, venue atmosphere and music programming.
- Ability to keep music playlists up to date with current chart, dance, hip-hop, R&B and commercial music trends.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage stage rotations and entertainment schedules.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced nightlife environment.
- Professional, reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- A passion for creating an engaging, high-energy atmosphere and delivering an exceptional guest experience.
- Applicants will be required to demonstrate both their DJ mixing ability and microphone/presentation skills as part of the interview process. This may include performing a short live set, making stage announcements and promoting club offers to demonstrate confidence, professionalism and suitability for the role.
