Bank rate: £29.46 - £45.82 per hour depending on shift time.
We’re looking for a Bank Senior Radiographer to join our Cardiac team at The Wellington Hospital.

As a Senior Radiographer in Cath Labs, you’ll provide a high level of customer-focussed to our patients and service users through high quality diagnostic radiography
Duties & responsibilities:

Demonstrate highly developed knowledge and skills in a broad range of cardiology, radiology and interventional vascular investigations

Demonstrate a sound knowledge of Radiation Protection and safety of all staff and patients, as part of Ionising Radiation Regulations, Health and Safety at Work Act, IR(ME)R and COSHH Regulations compliance;

Act as a resource within the Cardiac Radiography service to provide professional expertise in the environment of the Cardiac Catheter Lab Department.

Perform a wide range of standard and complex procedures on adults, as requested by the clinician, in all areas of Cardiac and Vascular Radiography.

Perform all procedures at independent practitioner level and confidently support any clinical decision making on which the patient’s management is based.

Prepare equipment ensuring daily checks are carried out on all radiology equipment used in the cardiology department, carrying out day to day troubleshooting.

Participate in the departments out of hours on call rota.
What you’ll bring:
- HCPC registration

Extensive Cath Lab experience gained post-graduation as a HCPC registered Radiographer

High level of understanding with regards to clinical governance and protocols relating to Cath Labs
-
Experience within a Interventional Radiology suite desirable

Experience using Phillips or/or Siemens systems desirable
