We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Head of Compliance / MLRO to lead our organisation’s compliance framework and ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance policies, manage internal audits, and act as the primary point of contact for regulatory reporting. This pivotal role demands a strategic thinker with a strong background in banking, accounting, and compliance management to safeguard the organisation’s integrity and reputation.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive compliance programmes aligned with industry standards and regulatory obligations.
- Act as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), ensuring effective detection and reporting of suspicious activities.
- Manage internal audits to assess compliance with policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Monitor changes in legislation and regulatory frameworks relevant to banking and financial services, ensuring organisational adaptation.
- Prepare and submit all necessary regulatory reports accurately and within deadlines.
- Provide expert guidance on compliance issues to senior management and staff across departments.
- Conduct regular training sessions to promote a culture of compliance throughout the organisation.
- Maintain detailed records of compliance activities, investigations, and reporting processes for audit purposes.
Experience
- Proven experience in a senior compliance role within banking or financial services organisations.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal audits, and regulatory reporting procedures.
- Demonstrable expertise in compliance management systems and frameworks.
- Familiarity with AML regulations, KYC procedures, and related legal requirements.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Pay: £70,000.00-£125,000.00 per year
