Job Description
- Gather dirty laundry, towels, and bed linens, taking care to check items for hazards like sharps.
- Correctly operate commercial washing machines and dryers, adhering to strict infection control and color-coding guidelines.
- Sort, fold, iron, and repair garments when necessary.
- Ensure all personal clothing is labeled and returned promptly to the correct resident’s room.
- Keep the laundry area clean, hygienic, and free of lint or hazards.
- Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules for resident rooms, communal areas, corridors, and bathrooms.
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces, empty bins, and change bed linens.
- Restock soaps, paper towels, and toiletries in bathrooms and communal areas.
- Strictly adhere to COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations and Health & Safety policies.
Pay: £12.71-£12.72 per hour
