Location: Birmingham (4 days in office)

Salary: £29,000 + up to £10,000 bonus

The Role
We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of existing customers. This role focuses on building strong relationships, increasing customer engagement, and identifying opportunities to expand product usage.
You’ll play a key role in driving revenue growth, improving retention, and ensuring customers get maximum value from our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of customers across onboarding, activation, growth, and retention stages
- Proactively engage clients to increase usage and maximise account value
- Identify and act on opportunities to upsell and optimise product usage
- Reduce churn by monitoring account activity and intervening early
- Maintain consistent outbound activity (calls, follow-ups, account reviews)
- Deliver excellent customer service and resolve issues efficiently
- Keep CRM systems up to date and use data to guide decisions
- Work closely with internal teams to improve processes and customer outcomes
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in account management, sales, or business development
- Proven track record of managing, growing, and retaining customer accounts
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, target-driven environment
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage your own workload
- Quick learner, able to understand complex products/services
- Experience using CRM systems (e.g. Dynamics 365 or similar)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Commercially aware and confident making data-driven decisions
Desirable:
- Experience in industries such as fuel cards, energy, telecoms, insurance, or financial services
