Folan Technologies Ltd are a market leading Fibre Optic and Communications Technology Company based in Southend in Essex. We are undergoing substantial growth and this position will assist in the next phase of customer development. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with the correct experience / skillset to develop and grow within an evolving company.
The role will require you to handle and be responsible for the following:
- Focused on new business generation from both inbound and outbound activity - calling/emailing.
- Retain and develop all existing and new accounts and managing a database of existing and hot prospects.
- Leverage company position within established sectors, break into less developed sectors
- Produce formal written quotes and tender responses
- The ability to position the company and its services, quickly and concisely.
- The ability to blend existing sales and industry knowledge, alongside ongoing technical support.
- Management and creation of a Pipeline will be an important initial KPI.
- Qualification and closing skills are vital.
- Correctly qualifying and managing prospects and accounts
- Ability to work autonomously.
Skills and experience sought:
- Proven sales background - target driven, pipeline builder, personable, confident, credible, positive, relationship developer, resilient, tenacious
- IT / Telecoms equipment / services would be a distinct advantage. (full sales cycle (prospecting-quoting-closing).
- Quick learner, able to get up to speed and pick up detailed service and industry knowledge
- Attention to detail - picking up on specific client requirements and producing accurate written proposals
- Take ownership of own performance and account related issues
- Professional - do the right thing by customer, self and company

- Degree educated or with relevant on the job experience with 2+ years sales experience gained in a telco/tech sales environment
