We are seeking a passionate and energetic Early Years Room Leader to join our vibrant childcare team. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily activities within the early years classroom, ensuring they are educational, fun, and developmentally appropriate.
- Supervise and support a team of nursery staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and encouragement to promote teamwork and high standards of care.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate learning programs that align with early childhood education principles and regulatory standards.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment by adhering to health and safety policies and conducting regular risk assessments.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Ensure compliance with all childcare regulations, policies, and procedures at all times.
- Foster a positive atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and social skills among children.
Qualifications
- Proven management or leadership experience within a childcare setting or nursery environment.
- Extensive experience working with children in early childhood education or childcare roles.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and nursery best practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are preferred.
- Valid nursery or childcare certification as required by local regulations.
- A clean driving license is advantageous for transporting children or attending off-site activities when necessary.
