We have a wonderful opportunity for the right candidate to join this friendly, professional and dynamic firm that has 8 offices and over 100 staff in total as a senior analyst in our risk & compliance team.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Head of Regulatory Management ( MLRO ) in ensuring compliance across the firm relating to AML, sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption, prevention of fraud and tax evasion, compliance with SRA Code of Conduct and other regulatory and compliance matters.
- Ensure the firm’s New Business Intake (NBI) procedures are adhered to by all staff and that files are opened in a timely manner.
- Assist the team with any NBI and/or AML enquiries that might arise during the NBI procedure. Escalate flags to the Head of Regulatory Management accordingly.
- Contribute to team meetings and calls to discuss key topics, share knowledge, and provide updates on key regulatory developments
- Provide guidance and support to other members of the NBI team on complex queries and compliance measures for the firm.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to the NBI team on AML risks in connection with new business and advising stakeholders of all levels from business teams, for example, Internal Audit, and fee-earners on a range of AML related matters
- Horizon scan, monitor changes in legislation, and contribute to other risk and compliance related projects as required
- Any other tasks or duties relating to Compliance or Regulatory Management as required by the Directors and Head of Regulatory Management.
This role is for a candidate that is already working as a risk professional in another law firm and is ready to progress their career. Direct relevant prior experience is essential.
Excellent IT and communication skills are essential. The role requires you to be in the office on a full time basis so it is essential that you live within easy commuting distance of our Haywards Heath office (that trades locally as Colemans) .
