Pay: £14.30 per hour + overtime at £15.40 per hour
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Shift: 13:30–22:00, 5 days from 6, Monday to Saturday
Start Date: Immediate starts available
About the Role
Pilgrim Foodservice is looking for a reliable and hard-working Hygiene Operative to join our Butchery team at our Boston site.
This is a hands-on role working in a chilled food production environment, helping to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety across our butchery operation.
You will play an important part in making sure our production areas, equipment and workspaces are cleaned, sanitised and ready for use, helping the team deliver fresh meat products safely and efficiently to our customers.
Please note: this role involves working in a fresh meat production environment. No animals are slaughtered on site.
Cleaning and sanitising production areas, machinery, equipment and work surfaces
Following hygiene schedules and food safety procedures
Supporting the Butchery team with general production and cleaning duties
Using cleaning chemicals safely and correctly in line with COSHH guidance
Ensuring all work areas are kept clean, organised and safe
Working in a chilled environment
Helping maintain high standards of hygiene, quality and health and safety
Carrying out physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending and standing for long periods
Previous experience in hygiene, food production, warehouse or factory work would be helpful
Comfortable working in a chilled environment and around fresh meat products
Able to carry out a physical role, including lifting up to 25kg
Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a team
Good attention to detail
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
