Brakes Community Foundation CIO, the charitable partner of Leamington FC, have an exciting opportunity for a number of enthusiastic candidates to begin work from September.
The successful candidates will be responsible for the planning and delivery of a number of sessions which fall in line with the coaching vision and values of the company.
This role is for enthusiastic sports coaches to support and / or lead on community sports coaching sessions, predominantly after school clubs but there is potential to deliver more. Full training will be given with supporting resources.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum level 1 qualification in at least one relevant sport (essential)
- First aid and safeguarding certification
- Must be prepared to cover work at different venues
- Current enhanced DBS (we can support with this)
- Other qualifications in sports would be desirable
- Knowledge of in school delivery and best practice for KS1 and KS2 (desirable)
- Experience of delivering high quality, engaging sessions to groups of up to 30 children age 5 - 11 (desirable)
- Full, clean driving license essential
Session Details
- Part time
- Sessions available Monday to Friday 15.00 - 16.30pm (not essential to be available for all 5 days)
- Saturday 09.00 - 11.00am
Key Responsibilities
- Planning, delivery and evaluating sessions (multi sport and football sessions)
- Responsible for offering engaging inclusive sessions
- To evaluate pupils and sessions and report to up line as and when necessary
- To be fully responsible for the safety and welfare of all participants under your care
- Child Development and Progression - every child matters approach
- To liaise on a regular basis with the Community Co-ordinator and Community Lead to ensure that the needs of all participants are catered for.
- Understand the company Safeguarding policy, procedures and best practice guidelines. Use this understanding to ensure safer recruitment, safe working practices, appropriate reporting of concerns and contribute positively to an Anti-bullying environment.
- Other responsibilities
- To attend staff meetings and CPD as required.
- To be aware of current trends and best practice in a school environment
- To continually look for ways to develop and improve our coaching programme.
- Actively take part in selling our community programmes to local partners
