We're teaming up with a private company in Preston to find an exceptional Residential Worker specialising in autism for their Children and Young People's Service Team in the Leyland/Preston area.

As a Residential Worker focused on autism, your primary role will be to provide dedicated care and support to individuals on the autism spectrum within a residential setting. Your mission is to create a nurturing and secure environment tailored to their unique needs, fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment.
Key Responsibilities: - Promoting and safeguarding the well-being of individuals with autism under your care - Offering support and encouragement in navigating daily challenges and milestones - Actively listening in a calm and understanding manner, utilising effective communication techniques to ensure comprehension and validate their experiences - Contributing to the development and growth of individuals with autism by providing structured activities, promoting social skills, and serving as a reliable and compassionate role model
