- Responsibilities:
- Support Service Users with day-to-day activities, including personal care, meals, and mobility.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Follow Care Plans and report any changes in needs or wellbeing.
- Keep the living environment clean and safe.
- Promote dignity, privacy, and respect at all times.
- Communicate clearly with the care team and family members when necessary.
Skills and Requirements:
- Experience in providing personal care and daily living support, preferably in a live-in care setting.
- Ability to build rapport and establish meaningful personal connections with Service Users.
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written – with the ability to effectively inform and collaborate with colleagues, management, professionals, and family members.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic nature.
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in challenging or stressful situations.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly with minimal supervision.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and care procedures is desirable.
- Commitment to upholding dignity, respect, and confidentiality in all aspects of care.
- Support the Service User with all aspects of daily living, helping them to maintain the best possible quality of life in the comfort of their own home.
- Deliver compassionate, respectful, and reliable care in a one-to-one setting, often working independently in the Service User’s home.
- Follow detailed Care Plans and any specific instructions regarding the Service User’s care and wellbeing.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.60-£13.00 per hour
