This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who loves working with children, enjoys sport and wants a fun, rewarding part-time role. You don’t need to be a professional footballer - we’re looking for people with energy, confidence and the ability to make every session engaging and enjoyable.
The Role:
As a Little Kickers Head Coach, you’ll lead fun, structured football sessions for children aged 18 months to 8 years, helping them develop confidence, coordination, teamwork and football skills through play.
You'll be responsible for creating a positive atmosphere, engaging with both children and parents, and delivering sessions in line with the Little Kickers programme.
We currently have opportunities including:
- Saturday & Sunday: approximately 5.5 hours across the weekend
- Sunday-only: approximately 2.5 hours
- Tewkesbury: Sunday availability
- Abbeydale: approximately 2.5 hours on Sunday
- Typical coaching hours are around 9:00am–11:30am/12:00pm, depending on venue.
There may also be opportunities for additional hours as our classes continue to grow.
Pay:
£14 per hour starting rate for Lead Coaches, with a class-size bonus scheme allowing you to earn up to £18 per hour.
We want our coaches to benefit when the classes they lead grow and thrive.
Who We're Looking For:
You must be at least 17 years old and able to reliably travel to your coaching venue each week. Having your own transport is a benefit, particularly as our classes operate across different locations and you will be required to transport kit.
Previous experience in football, sports coaching, childcare, teaching or working with young children would be beneficial, but personality and attitude are just as important.
We're looking for someone who is:
Energetic Confident Reliable Friendly Great with children Comfortable leading a group Enthusiastic about sport
Most importantly, you need to be someone who can make children excited to come back to Little Kickers every week.
Why Join Little Kickers?
This isn't a job where you'll spend your weekend sitting behind a desk. You'll be helping young children discover sport, watching their confidence grow and creating an environment where their first experiences of football are positive, exciting and fun.
You'll join a friendly local team, receive support in delivering the Little Kickers programme and have the opportunity to take on more responsibility as our classes grow.
