Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cleaner to join our team on a term-time only basis. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, hallways, offices, restrooms, and communal areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
- Ensure all surfaces are sanitized and maintained to health and safety standards
- Empty bins, dispose of waste responsibly, and replenish cleaning supplies as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming as required
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities
- Support the setup and tidying of classrooms and event spaces before and after use
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safe handling of cleaning chemicals
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness
- Reliable with good time management skills to complete tasks within scheduled times
- Previous experience in an educational or similar environment is advantageous but not essential
- Must be able to pass and enhanced DBS
