We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pastoral Support Worker to join our vibrant educational community. Duties
- Build trusting relationships with students to promote their emotional well-being and personal development
- Provide one-on-one mentoring sessions to support students facing social or emotional challenges
- Collaborate with teaching staff to identify students who may benefit from additional pastoral care
- Develop and implement strategies to promote positive behavior and mental health within the school community
- Support students with special educational needs by adapting approaches to meet individual requirements
- Organize and facilitate group activities that encourage social skills, confidence, and resilience
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, concerns, and interventions for safeguarding purposes
Skills
- Proven experience working with children or young people in an educational or youth work setting
- Strong understanding of teaching methods and strategies for supporting diverse learners, including those with special education needs
- Excellent mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students
- Effective communication skills to engage confidently with students, staff, parents, and external agencies
- Ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally while maintaining a positive attitude
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies
- Passion for fostering inclusive environments where every student feels valued and supported
Pay: £25,420.00-£31,200.00 per year
