Dental Receptionist – Private Practice (Career Growth Opportunity)
Full-time | Private Dental Clinic | Open 7 Days a Week | Patient-focused | Long-term Progression
We're looking for a warm, organised and proactive Dental Receptionist to become the face of our modern private dental practice.
This isn't just a front desk role. It's an opportunity to grow with a new and expanding clinic where you can develop responsibility, confidence and long-term career progression.
If you already have dental reception experience and are confident using dental software, you'll be able to hit the ground running and quickly take ownership of the role.
About the Role
You'll be the first and last person our patients meet, helping create a calm, welcoming and professional environment from the moment they walk in.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Greeting patients and creating a friendly, reassuring first impression
- Offering refreshments (water, tea or coffee) to make patients feel comfortable
- Managing diaries and appointments efficiently
- Answering calls, emails and patient enquiries
- Supporting treatment plan discussions and processing payments
- Maintaining accurate records using dental software
- Coordinating with clinicians to keep the day running smoothly
- General front-of-house and administrative duties
Shift Pattern
We are open 7 days a week, offering flexibility across two shift patterns:
- 11:30am to 5:30pm
- 5:30pm to 10:30pm
Applicants should be flexible to work a mixture of these shifts, including weekends on a rota basis.
What We're Looking For
- Previous dental reception experience (preferred)
- Confident using dental software
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Highly organised and calm under pressure
- Professional, polished and well-presented
- Comfortable discussing fees and payments
- Someone who takes initiative and enjoys responsibility
Growth & Progression Opportunities
Because we're a growing private practice, this role offers real development, not just repetition.
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Take ownership of front-of-house systems
- Develop into a Senior/Lead Receptionist role
- Learn practice management and operational skills
- Gain exposure to treatment coordination and patient experience
- Grow alongside an expanding team and clinic
We're looking for someone who sees this as a career, not just a job.

- Supportive and respectful team culture
- Modern, well-designed private practice environment
- Ongoing training and development
- Stability and genuine long-term career progression
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
