We're looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join a highly skilled engineering team. This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll programme, set and operate both CNC milling and turning machines, taking components from initial programming through to final production. You'll have the opportunity to work on precision-engineered components, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support the development of less experienced team members.
Location: Fulbourn, Cambridgeshire
Hours: Rotating Shift Pattern Monday – Friday 06:00am – 2pm / Monday – Friday 2pm – 10pm
Hourly Rate: Up to £20 an hour

Duties to Include:
- Programming, setting and operating CNC milling and turning machines (Mazak, Matsuura)
- Creating, editing and optimising CNC programs for efficiency and quality
- Taking ownership of first-off and complex components through to full production
- Selecting tooling, fixtures, feeds and speeds to suit materials and tolerances
- Interpreting engineering drawings and working to tight tolerances
- Troubleshooting machining and programming issues, implementing solutions quickly
- Supporting and mentoring junior machinists and operators
- Contributing to continuous improvement and process optimisation initiatives
- Maintaining machines, tooling and a safe, organised working environment
Skills/Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist
- Drive and ambition to progress your career further.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
- Confident problem-solver who can work independently
- Positive attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills.
