Purpose of commercial paralegal are:
- To assist on a broad range of commercial matters, prepare documents and correspondence, and keep clients up to date on their transaction.
- To contribute to our mission of establishing lifelong relationships with all our clients by anticipating and responding to their needs for quality legal services.
Responsibilities of the commercial paralegal include:
· To assist on a varied caseload of commercial client matters including:
- Commercial property sales and purchases
- Commercial leases and licences
- Commercial lending
- Pension fund transfers
- Commercial contracts
- Company resolutions and minutes
- Charity and not for profit
· To take a proactive approach in building professional relationships with clients and other contacts
· To maintain and promote the good image and reputation of the firm
· To solve problems with a high level of initiative
· To use the case management software
General duties of the commercial paralegal will include:
· To work in a flexible way to ensure that the workload is completed and to undertake any other jobs commensurate with the level of the post
· To establish, maintain and enhance team-working with colleagues
· To keep confidential all information about individuals and the business and work within the guidelines of the GDPR
· To abide by our Equality and Diversity, Health and Safety, Anti Money Laundering Policies and all other relevant policies
The perfect applicant will have:
· Prior experience working in a law firm
· Experience of working in a fast paced environment
· Experience of working in a customer facing role
· Experience of working on own initiative with minimum supervision
· Experience of establishing, building and sustaining professional relationships with clients and other contacts
· Experience of managing own workload, meeting deadlines and prioritising appropriately
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· A methodical and detailed approach with a high level of accuracy
· Self-motivation, be proactive, forward thinking and a team player
· Excellent IT skills
· Satisfactory DBS
