Workshop HGV Mechanic
Location: Lincoln
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
Red Recruitment 24:7 are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Workshop HGV Mechanic to join their team based in Lincoln.
You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of HGVs, light commercial vehicles, plant machinery and equipment, ensuring vehicles remain safe, compliant and operational.
Duties:
- Carry out servicing, inspections and repairs on HGVs, commercial vehicles and plant equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
- Complete preventative maintenance and safety checks.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Ensure compliance with DVSA and Operator Licence requirements.
- Order parts and maintain workshop standards.
- Assist with occasional breakdowns when required.
Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00am - 5:00pm
- 1-hour unpaid break
- Overtime available
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician.
- Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic knowledge.
- Experience with plant machinery is desirable.
- Full UK Driving Licence required.
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance preferred.
