Duties
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, including flatbed trucks, on scheduled day and night shifts to deliver goods efficiently.
- Load and unload cargo with precision, adhering to safety protocols and ensuring cargo integrity.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after each shift to maintain optimal safety standards.
- Plan routes effectively to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing fuel efficiency and compliance with traffic regulations.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered during transit.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and any required paperwork for cargo handling.
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle to uphold company standards and safety compliance.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed or similar vehicles.
- Delivery driver experience demonstrating punctuality and reliability in fast-paced environments.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations, transportation laws, and best practices for cargo securement.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including both day and night shifts.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients.
- Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road.

Pay: £17.95-£18.95 per hour
