Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for maintaining an organised and efficient stockroom environment. This can be a physically demanding role as there will be a substantial amount of moving items, facilitated by forklifts and your team members when required. Having or obtaining a fork lift licence is a bonus. As a Stock Controller, you will oversee stock processes with other members of the stock control team, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained, products are organised and prepared for dispatch and that the team operates smoothly. This role requires excellent time management and administrative capabilities, along with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
Duties
- Daily stockroom operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company policies.
- Organise inventory levels with your team department team members, conducting regular stock checks and audits to maintain accuracy. Receive goods in and out.
- Help optimise systems for stock storage , space and accessibility.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate stock replenishment and fulfilment of orders.
- Utilise Adobe Illustrator for creating visual aids related to stock management processes when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements, including incoming and outgoing products.
- Address any discrepancies in inventory promptly, investigating issues as they arise.
- Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and effective communication among staff.
- Liaising with customer services managing fixes and any issues with products returned or to be sent out
- Facilitating our Health and safety protocols
- Ensuring the maintenance and management of our forklift and company vans.
Requirements
- Proven experience within a retail or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop team members.
- Excellent organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail in managing stock levels.
- Proficiency in time management to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Administrative skills including experience with inventory management systems.
- Familiarity with Adobe software, particularly Adobe Illustrator, is advantageous.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently when required.
