Overview
Shop Floor Operatives within the Steel profiling/flashing and cold rolled manufacturing industry. Experience an advantage but not essential.
40hours per week Monday to Friday 0730-1600hrs
20 days holiday plus bank holidays (5 days holiday is to be kept for Christmas Shutdown)
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily shop floor activities, including stock replenishment and organization to ensure a tidy and inviting environment
- Support team members in processing customer transactions efficiently and accurately
- Help maintain safety standards by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times
- Participate in inventory checks, stock counts, and product labeling to support stock accuracy
- Follow established procedures for handling goods, packaging, and store cleanliness
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and ensure smooth store flow
Skills
- Enthusiastic attitude with a strong willingness to learn new skills on the job
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work as part of a team in a busy environment
- Basic physical fitness to stand, walk, lift, and move stock throughout shifts
- Attention to detail for tasks such as stock checking and maintaining cleanliness
- Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive approach to responsibilities

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
