We are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician/Mot Tester at Plympton Mot Centre.

As part of the successful candidates development, will be put through the MOT course, which would result in an increase in salary.
We are one of the largest independent garage services in the Plymouth Area. Operating from one site we offer MOT's, Servicing, Mechanical Repairs, Tyres etc .
We are not a target driven company and do not encourage upsells, our ethos is to provide all our customers with what they need, authorise and/or request for a fair and reasonable price. The position is therefore salaried and no requirement to achieve bonus to receive this.

The desired applicant will possess the following:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Vehicle Repair
- Competent and confident in servicing, brakes, cambelts, head gaskets, auto-electrics, diagnostics (general mechanical repairs)
- A Full UK driving licence
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Conduct MOT tests in accordance with regulatory standards, identifying any issues that may affect vehicle compliance.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge and hand tools to diagnose and fix mechanical problems.
- Handle heavy lifting as necessary while maintaining a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used, and ensure all work complies with industry regulations.
- Drive vehicles to and from the workshop as needed, adhering to all traffic laws.

Pay: £35,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
