Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced General Builder / Bricklayer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in domestic building work and not just large construction site experience.
This role requires someone with a broad knowledge of multiple areas of the building trade and the ability to carry out high-quality work across residential projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out bricklaying to a high standard (extensions, garden walls, repairs, etc.)
- Work on domestic projects including extensions, refurbishments, structural alterations, and renovations
- Undertake general building tasks when required
- Read and work from drawings and building plans
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with building regulations
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and site cleanliness
- Work independently or as part of a team
Requirements:
- Proven experience in domestic construction projects (not just site work)
- Strong bricklaying skills with the ability to complete full builds and structural work
- Good all-round knowledge of the building industry (groundworks, structural work, steels, drainage, etc.)
- Ability to problem solve and work independently
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Must hold a full UK driving licence
- Must be local to Doncaster or surrounding areas
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying (minimum) – essential
- NVQ Level 3 or higher preferred
- Valid CSCS card
