Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable individual to join our team as a <PERSON> driver/skilled labourer. This role involves operating commercial vehicles for delivery purposes and undertaking various labour tasks within our warehouse and site. The ideal candidate will possess experience in delivery driving, possess strong communication skills, and be comfortable with heavy lifting. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including <PERSON> drivers, to deliver goods to specified locations
- Assist with loading and unloading items, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, including moving materials within the warehouse or worksite
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with team members regarding schedules and deliveries
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met
- Support warehouse activities such as organising stock, preparing orders, and maintaining cleanliness of the work environment
- Follow all health and safety regulations during driving and labour tasks to minimise risks
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, particularly with <PERSON> drivers or similar commercial vehicles
- Strong driving skills with a valid commercial driving licence (CDL) or equivalent
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous, demonstrating familiarity with logistics operations
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients
- Organised, dependable, with a strong focus on safety protocols and punctuality
- Physically fit to handle manual labour tasks and long hours on your feet
