Hours: 31.5- 35 term-time only
Salary: Standard Apprenticeship Rate (currently £8.00 per hour for eligible apprentices from April 2026)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual aged 16–24 to join our friendly team as an Early Years Modern Apprentice.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience while working towards an SVQ qualification in Early Learning and Childcare. The successful candidate will be based primarily within our early years setting but will also gain experience within our Out of School Care service, providing a broad understanding of childcare across different age groups.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing
- Assisting with play activities, outings and daily routines
- Helping to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment
- Working alongside experienced childcare practitioners
- Building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Contributing to observations and learning records
- Gaining experience with both nursery-aged children and school-aged children

- A genuine interest in working with children
- A positive, caring and reliable attitude
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and work towards an SVQ qualification
- Ability to provide satisfactory PVG membership and references

Contract Information
This is a temporary apprenticeship position linked to completion of the SVQ qualification. The contract will run for the duration of the apprenticeship programme, up to a maximum of 18 months from the start date of learning.
