We are looking for an Experienced Youth Worker / Residential Support Worker to join our established children's residential home in Wellingborough (NN9), providing high-quality care and support for children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

The Role
As part of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in providing consistent care, guidance, and encouragement to children and young people who have experienced trauma and adversity.
The role operates on a rota of long-day shifts with sleep-ins, ensuring stability and continuity of care for the young people we support.
Your Responsibilities
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care in line with individual care plans.
- Support education, daily routines, appointments, and recreational activities.
- Encourage independence, emotional wellbeing, and life skills development.
- Respond positively to challenging behaviours using therapeutic approaches.
- Maintain accurate daily records, reports, and safeguarding documentation.
- Work alongside social workers, education providers, healthcare professionals, and families to achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Ensure the home remains a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment at all times.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who is:
- Experienced in youth work, residential childcare, children's support work, or a similar role.
- Confident working with children and young people with EBD, trauma, and challenging behaviours.
- Compassionate, resilient, reliable, and committed to making a positive difference.
- Flexible to work long-day shifts and sleep-ins on a rota basis.
- Able to work effectively as part of a dedicated team.
Desirable
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete).
- Knowledge of Ofsted Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
