JDR Recruitment are recruiting for Warehouse Cleaners to work at a large distribution centre based in Bedford, MK42.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean warehouse floors using sweepers, scrubber-dryers, and other cleaning equipment
- Remove waste, cardboard, plastic, and other recyclable materials from designated areas
- Empty bins and ensure waste is disposed of correctly
- Clean welfare facilities including canteens, kitchens, toilets, changing rooms, and offices
- Maintain cleanliness of loading bays, walkways, stairwells, and warehouse racking areas
- Replenish consumables such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls
- Report maintenance issues, spillages, hazards, or damaged equipment to management
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times
- Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to COSHH regulations
- Support deep cleaning activities and special cleaning projects when required
- Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained and stored correctly
- Work alongside warehouse teams to minimise disruption to operations
Skills and Experience:
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to follow health and safety instructions
- Physically fit and capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced distribution centre environment
- May involve early mornings, evenings, nights, or weekend shifts
- Regular walking, lifting, bending, and prolonged periods of standing
- Use of PPE including safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, gloves, and eye protection where required
We have the following shifts available:
Saturday & Sunday 6am-6pm
Saturday & Sunday 6pm-6am
Monday - Friday 7am-3pm
The Pay Rates are as follows:
Days: £12.71 per hour
Nights: £13.71 per hour
