Overview
We are seeking energetic and dedicated drivers of all classes, including vans, to join our dynamic transportation team in an expanding business. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be the backbone of our delivery operations, ensuring timely, safe, and efficient transportation of goods across various locations. Duties
- Safely operate vehicles across different classes, including vans, trucks, and heavy-duty vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently to meet scheduled deadlines while maintaining high service standards
- Load and unload cargo with care
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, and vehicle maintenance activities
- Assist with loading/unloading cargo as needed and ensure the secure handling of goods during transit
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle class being operated (including van licenses)
- Proven experience as a delivery or commercial driver with a strong safety record
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify issues early and ensure vehicle reliability
- Strong driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service excellence
- Prior experience in delivery driving or similar roles is preferred but not mandatory for motivated candidates willing to learn

Pay: £14.50-£20.00 per hour
