ROLE: DFT Asset Surveyor
HOURS: 40 hours per week
LOCATION: Birmingham (Central England)

We're looking for an Asset Condition Surveyor who will undertake professional asset condition surveys of mechanical, electrical and fabric building services across the client estate, validating asset lists and assessing condition against CIBSE Guide M classification gradings.
Role Responsibilities:
- Undertake professional asset condition surveys of mechanical, electrical and fabric building services across the client estate, validating asset lists and assessing condition against CIBSE Guide M classification gradings.
- Produce accurate, concise asset registers for each site, ensuring data is complete, consistent and aligned to Mitie taxonomy and commercial requirements.
- Carry out asset verification for new builds and refurbishments, ensuring assets are captured in line with client contract requirements.
- Identify and escalate any health and safety issues arising during asset surveys through the appropriate reporting channels.
- Safely carry out asset condition surveys across the client estate, covering mechanical, electrical and fabric building services.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience carrying out asset condition surveys across mechanical, electrical and fabric building services within a built environment or facilities management setting.
- Good working knowledge of asset data, asset registers, lifecycle principles and condition assessment methodologies, including CIBSE Guide M grading.
- Understanding of SFG coding, asset taxonomy and data quality requirements, with the ability to maintain accurate and consistent asset information.
- Must pass Non-Police Personnel Vetting, NPPV2, to be able to work on British Transport Police sites. Non-conformance with this would make the role non-viable for the applicant.
