POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Machine Operator to join our production team. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in manufacturing or engineering. You will receive full training to operate machinery safely and efficiently, ensuring high-quality production output.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Learn to operate and monitor production machinery under supervision.
- Assist with machine setup, calibration, and basic maintenance.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
- Inspect finished products for quality and report any defects.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Record production data and report issues to the supervisor.
- Participate in training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Any other duties assigned by your line manager and required by the business.
REQUIREMENTS:
- No prior experience required; training will be provided.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Flexible to work shifts, including nights and weekends if required.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Good time management.
DESIRABLE:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with health and safety practices.
EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- GCSEs or equivalent (Maths and English).
- Familiarity with continuous improvement is an advantage.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
