Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting various machinery utilised in production process.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor machinery involved in production, ensuring optimal performance.
- Set up machines according to specifications using tools and adhering to safety standards.
- To liaise with Hot End staff regarding any problems to ensure minimal disruption to production.
- To ensure all weights are continually monitored during production run to minimise waste
- To ensure all production targets (Waste and Downtime) are met.
- To ensure all production figures are collated and recorded correctly for each shift.
- To ensure all tools are cleaned and correctly stored at all times.
- To fill in all relevant paperwork/screenwork correctly and on time including OEE information, chemical dosage, line clearance documents, cleaning schedules
- To carry out tool changes and clean downs as required.
- To carry out handovers at shift change to make all parties aware of production needs and any possible problems.
- To ensure the work place is kept clean and tidy at all times.
- To report directly to the Senior Machine Operator at the first convenient opportunity any production matters that need further attention.
- To assist in other departments as and when required.
- To undertake any reasonable tasks asked of you by your Senior, Shift Coordinator, Senior Machine Operator or Shift Manager
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in using hand tools and tooling is essential.
- Ability to handle materials efficiently and operate various types of machinery safely.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks.

Shift Pattern
46 hours, Monday to Thursday weekly rotation between 6am - 6pm and 6pm - 6am
34.5 hours, Friday to Sunday weekly rotation between 6am - 6pm and 6pm - 6am
Pay: £13.20-£18.92 per hour
