Part-Time Self-Employed Turner & General Workshop Machinist Location: Hedge end, Hampshire Basis: Self-Employed / Sub-Contract (Part-Time) hourly rate (negotiable based on experience) Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced, self-employed Turner and General Workshop Machinist on a part-time basis to assist with prototype development, batch turning, and general workshop support. Key Responsibilities: Operating and setting conventional center lathes and/or CNC turning centers. Carrying out precision batch work and one-off prototyping to tight tolerances. General workshop duties, including manual milling, drilling, deburring, and light assembly/fabrication. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized working environment. Requirements: Proven hands-on experience in conventional and/or CNC turning. Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings independently.
