Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care home in silloth. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting well-being, independence, and dignity for those in need. Duties
- Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Supporting clients with meal preparation and feeding where necessary
- Helping clients with medication reminders in accordance with care plans
- Providing emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
- Assisting with light domestic tasks including laundry and cleaning
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure holistic care delivery
- Driving clients to appointments or social activities when required (driving skills preferred)
- Adhering to health and safety guidelines, including infection control procedures
- Contributing to the development and review of personalised care plans
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Driving licence is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn driving if necessary
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others' wellbeing
