The role of Machine Setter will be considered a Senior Operative working closely with the Engineering/Production Manager and assisting in the tool changing and machine setup operations.
Rate of pay - £15.45 p/h

4 on / 4 off, days/nights rotation

Responsibilities:
Working in a team of 9 comprising 1 shift manager, 6 engineers and 2 machine setters. Reporting to the shift manager.
Progression opportunities include Engineering apprenticeship.

You will work as a team to ensure machine changeovers are completed in a timely manner on days and done to the plan for production start up on nights.

Assembling processing equipment for production start ups.

Working closely with the hygiene team on nights to strip and rebuild machinery and equipment for cleaning,

Assisting engineering in completing machine maintenance.

Managing the blade stock and blade rotation.

Being the point of contact for blade issues on shift.

Escalating Blade issues to the shift management.
Qualifications:
- NVQ2 or equivalent desirable, but not essential

Trade qualifications or experience in plumbing, plastering, carpentry or industrial environment

Shift work (including nights)

Hand Tools experience desirable
